Who are we?
The Islington Faiths Forum (IFF) is a community partnership of faith-based organisations and projects working together to assist the local community. We work to support inter faith and community initiatives and dialogue throughout the Borough. The IFF operates along the following lines:
New IFF Charitable Objects as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO):
“The promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public in Islington and the wider community by: (a) educating the public in different religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between persons of different faiths; (b) promoting knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths.”
IFF Values: Respect, Peace and Courage.
IFF Strategic Objectives:
– To develop an extensive and inclusive network of faith groups in the Borough;
– To support community development, cohesion and safety;
– To provide representation and knowledge of faith communities to statutory and other agencies and to campaign and
develop work on issues of importance for those communities;
– Empower and support individual faith groups and smaller networks of faith groups to work together and have a voice
